The file name of the product picture file must include the product identifier, followed by a period, and finally, the file extension. A product identifier is a 10, 12, or 13-digit code that a product is allocated.
That code can be granted by Amazon – ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) – or be given by other global identifier-generating bodies. For example, codes generated by the organization GS1 are valid on Amazon.
These codes include various GTINs (Global Trade Identification Numbers) like UPC (Universal Product Code), ISBNs for books, etc. Amazon has also warned vendors that spaces, dashes, or additional characters in a product photograph’s filename would keep your picture from reaching the product page.
Amazon has further postulated a few ordinances for its product pictures. The images that you submit must be of that product, with the product in focus and with realistic color.
The product must occupy at least 85% of the frame, and you can use other objects to demonstrate the dimensions of your product. For example, a vendor can use an object that is one foot in length to tell customers how long their product is.
